Chart Recorders and Chart Paper

Single-pen and multi-pen chart recorders are available in several configurations.  CCS&ES’s staff of professionally trained engineers can assist in selecting the proper chart recorder and the corresponding chart paper and recorder ink to meet your specific application.

Chart Recorder Options

• Strip chart recorders are perhaps best suited for recording of continuous processes and operate by passing the chart paper under one or more pens.  Portions of the paper can be removed as needed for filing, archiving and examination.
• Circular chart recorders use circular sheets of chart paper which are passed under a series of pins to show data in a chronological manner.  These recorders work well in situations where a set process time is known and repeated, allowing each process to be recorded on a separate sheet.
• Paperless chart recorders eliminate the need for paper and
  ink, instead sending the data to a display monitor and collecting
  the data electronically for archive and analysis purposes.

Chart Paper Options

Chart paper for chart recorders should be selected based on the requirements of the chart recorder.  Among the options include circular chart paper, fanfold chart paper and rolled chart paper in sizes from 8 inches to 12 inches.
