Important Notice |
Periodically, Combustion Controls
Solutions & Environmental Services, Inc.
receives inquiries concerning the use of
rebuilt controls. In past years
manufacturers of other flame safety
devices did rebuild controls.
These rebuilt controls were certified by
UL, a nationally recognized testing
agency, and were subjected to different
standards than new equipment.
Essentially, all components were
replaced with the exact same components
that were used in a new control. Only
the housings and lenses (if applicable)
were reused. Combustion Controls
Solutions & Environmental Services, Inc.
does not authorize any company to
rebuild for us.
Currently, there are several other
companies selling "rebuilt" or
"reconditioned" controls. None of these
companies have approval from any
nationally recognized testing agency.
1. Combustion Controls Solutions &
Environmental Services, Inc. does not
promote any flame safeguard rebuilt
controls.
2. Your insurance coverage should be
reviewed if you use rebuilt controls.
3. The use of safety controls rebuilt by
any party other than the original
manufacturer is in violation of ASME,
CSD-1 standard.
4. Use of rebuilt controls is in
violation of National Fire Protection
Agency Association.
For years, Combustion Controls Solutions
& Environmental Services, Inc. has been
a leading promoter in flame safety. We
are very committed to adhering to the
established standards set forth by
testing agencies, fire codes and
insurance requirements.
